Arvind Kejriwal's fast against 'inflated' bills enters 14th day
New Delhi: Anti-corruption activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal's fast has entered its 14th day today. Mr Kejriwal has been on a hunger strike since March 23 against what he calls inflated water and power bills in the national capital. The core committee of his Aam Aadmi Party is meeting currently to decide on how to take the protest forward.

Mr Kejriwal has lost over 6 kilos and has refused to call off his fast despite repeated appeals from his supporters and former mentor Anna Hazare. Addressing a rally in Ambala on Thursday, Mr Hazare said Mr Kejriwal's life was important to the fight against corruption as "he has a lot to do for the society".

A statement from AAP on Thursday said, his "blood pressure was 111/73, pulse 64, sugar 131, ketones 3 and weight was 56.5 kg."

The statement added that 9.6 lakh Delhiites have, so far, signed up for their 'Civil Disobedience Movement' which will enter its second stage on Saturday, when activists will reconnect those power and water connections that were snapped for non-payment of bills.
