Google marks the beginning of the play-offs in the ICC World Twenty20 with a doodle.
Google has made a doodle to mark the beginning of the play-offs in the ICC World Twenty20 tournament. The doodle features two cricket bats in a cross with ball on top, with a caption that reads 'The Black caps take on the Men in Blue' as New Zealand take on India at 7:30 PM tonight.
India, who are 'favourites by a little bit' to win the tournament, are looking to be the First country to win the cup twice. New Zealand, on the other hand are aiming to win the cup for the first time.
While India are the team in form, history is on New Zealand's side. India, the number 1 ranked team in the T20I format, has never beaten New Zealand in this format of cricket. When India won the tournament in 2007, New Zealand was the only team that beat India in that tournament.
Today is the opening match of the ICC World T20 between India and New Zealand at Virabha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
This is the first time ever that the Twenty20 is being hosted in India.
