Asif Ali Zardari and Manmohan Singh address media: Highlights

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today met with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari at his residence at 7, Race Course Road. The one-on-one meeting, that lasted for a little over thirty minutes, ended in both leaders issuing a brief joint statement. (Read the full statement)

• I would be very happy to visit Pakistan on a mutually convenient date.
  
  
• Relations between India and Pakistan should become normal.
  
  
• We have a number of issues and are willing to find a practical, pragmatic solution and that's the message me and President Zardari would wish to convey.
