A day after actor Amitabh Bachchan defended his stand for turning up at for the inauguration of Bandra Worli Sea Link by saying that he is apolitical, his wife and Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan refused to answer any questions on his behalf.
"I am not here to speak for Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh is capable of defending himself," she said.
Further commenting on the issue she said, "Why should Amitji say sorry?"
On Wednesday, Amitabh Bachchan attended a ceremony in Mumbai for the inauguration of the newest phase of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. That appearance created a storm, with some in the Mumbai Congress openly expressing their unhappiness. (Read: Congress humiliates Big B)
