PakistaniForeign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said on Saturday that the "aspirationsof the Kashmiri people must be accommodated" and they must be a part ofthe dialogue process.
Addressing a joint press conference with Indian External Affairs Minister SMKrishna, Ms Khar mentioned Kashmir and Siachen issues while stressing that bothIndia and Pakistan should simultaneously progress on all tracks despite issuesthat have divided the two nations for several decades.
"The aspirations of the Kashmiri people must be accommodated and a questfor peaceful settlement requires that we be associated in one way or the otherwithin the dialogue process," she said.
Ms Khar said it was important to do so "because we must be able to disarmthe nay sayers".
Ms Khar said that the two neighbours should look for ways and means forsolutions to issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, "so that we continue todevelop on our achievements through dialogue".
"Pakistan sends a strong message" to move ahead in ties without beingheld hostage to past positions, she said.
