Melbourne: An Australian woman was today charged by a Queensland court for killing her 37-year-old Indian friend by firing 10 bullets in his head last month.
Gold Coast-based businessman Shyam 'Sam' Dhody was allegedly shot dead by 27-year-old Melissa Lee Shaw in July this year.
Shaw was arrested yesterday and remanded to custody, 'The Brisbane Times' reported. Her next court appearance is on November 5.
Police believe Shaw was the unhappy with her relationship with Dhody and was in a simultaneous "intimate relationship" with 32-year-old Adam James Gooley, the report said.
Police suspect that after becoming aware of assaults on his girlfriend, Gooley bought the crowbar and bashed Dhody outside the Molendinar house that he shared with Shaw.
