Yasir took two days to make this auto-rickshaw snow art.
Srinagar:
With heavy snowfall in Kashmir, one wouldn't dare think of taking an auto-rickshaw ride. But outside 19-year-old Yasir Ahmad's house in Srinagar, people have queued up to take a look at his special auto. Why? It is made entirely out of snow.
With a hammer and chisel, Yasir is making sculptures out of snow for the last one week. It took him two days to make the auto-rickshaw.
"When something is built, it makes you happy... we also learn through snow sculptures," said Mohammad Arif, a local youth who is helping Yasir make the sculptures.
On a lighter note, Yasir says when vehicles are skidding on snowy and slippery roads his auto-rickshaw provides a safe ride. "It's doesn't skid. Have a ride" he says.
People in Kashmir are now getting inspired with Snow art, and the children are now telling the world their stories by using their creativity.

10-year-old Iram is fascinated by a snow crocodile made outside her home. "I like crocodile... after snowfall I asked my uncle to make a crocodile for me" says Iram.
Another reason for children to bring out their creativity is the announcement by the state government to give awards for best sculptures.
With the summer unrest still fresh in the memory of locals, there are sculptures depicting the conflict in the state as well: a gun totting militant, a trooper on the tank, a pellet victim with eye injuries and a young man in the jail.
