The Gurugram police have arrested a 20-year-old autorickshaw driver for raping a seven-year-old girl on Monday.
The accused, Kamal, reportedly lured the girl on Sunday, near her house in Dundahera village in Gurugram, drove her to a secluded spot near Palam Vihar in his autorickshaw and sexually assaulted her.
The police scanned the CCTV footage of the area from where she was abducted and identified the driver.
"We also found out that a few days ago the same auto driver had tried to abduct another child from there. So we will have to see whether the accused has any past criminal record as well," said DCP crime Gurugram Sumit Kumar.
Just last night, a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car before she was thrown out of the vehicle. The three men drove through the capital to Greater Noida.
