The Supreme Court will deliver its verdict in the Ayodhya title suit today, ending decades of uncertainty on the issue. The decision was taken by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi after consulting four other judges deciding the case late on Friday evening. Massive security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that there is no violence after the verdict. The landmark verdict will be delivered at 10:30 am. In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people to maintain peace and said that the verdict will not be anybody's victory or loss. Ayodhya Case: Yogi Adityanath Calls For Peace
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Twitter says: "In view of the possible verdict by the Supreme Court in relation to the Ayodhya case, I appeal to the people of the state that the decision should not be seen as a win or loss. It is our responsibility to maintain a peaceful and amicable atmosphere in the state."
The chief minister says his government is committed to "protecting everyone."
"I appeal to the people to ignore rumours. The administration is fully committed to protecting everyone and maintaining law and order in the state. If anyone tries to disturb the law and order, strict action will be taken against them," he adds.

The Five Judges Who Will Deliver Ayodhya Verdict
A five-member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will deliver its verdict in the Ayodhya temple-mosque title suit in the morning.
The other four judges are: Justice SA Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazeer.
The security of the five judges has been increased. Justice Gogoi's security has been upgraded to Z category, sources say.
The five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had reserved the judgement on October 16 after a marathon hearing of 40 days.

Do Not Believe In Rumours: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Singh Baghel has appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony in view of the Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya case.
He appealed to people to rely on the information coming from official sources and not believe in rumours.
The Chief Minister has instructed the Chief Secretary and Director-General of Police to take precautionary measures to avoid untoward incident after the judgement. He has asked the police to be on alert.

Must Ensure Restraint While Reacting To Ayodhya Verdict: Kerala Chief Minister
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has appealed to people to exercise restraint when reacting to the Supreme Court verdict, whatsoever it be.
"Whatever be the verdict, we all must ensure to show restraint while reacting to it," he says.
While the state police department has warned it will take strict action against those who spread messages, through social media, affecting the communal harmony of the state, the Kasargod District Collector has issued prohibitory orders in areas under five police station limits there.
The chief minister reminded the state how peacefully it had reacted to the news of Babri Masjid demolition on December 6, 1992. "We upheld the values of our state while peacefully reacting to it (demolition). We all must be ready to accept the verdict in a peaceful manner. All Keralites must show commitment in preserving the secularism and harmony of the country," Mr Vijayan has written on his official Facebook page.

Restrictions imposed in Jammu and Kashmir
Ahead of the Supreme court verdict on the Ayodhya case, restrictions have been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir while schools and colleges will remain closed on November 9, officials said Friday night.
"Restrictions under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir in view of the SC verdict as a precautionary measure," DGP Dilbag Singh says.
He says necessary security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order. All schools and educational institutions will remain closed on Saturday, he adds.

Uttarakhand Director General, Law and Order, has directed police officials of all 13 districts in the state to keep a close watch on undesirable elements and sensitive places.

Instructions have issued to maintain strict vigil in Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital. Also, extra security personnel are being deployed in the state.

Maharashtra Police On Alert, Social Media To Be Monitored
Police are on alert in Mumbai and rest of Maharashtra in view of the Ayodhya verdict. Besides heavy deployment of personnel, police are also keeping a tab on social media to prevent spread of inflammatory posts or messages.
"We have issued an alert and deployed additional police force," a senior police official has said.
Strict action would be taken against anybody who tries to disturbs communal peace by posting or circulating provocative content on social media, the official added.
The police have already issued notices to admins of WhatsApp groups in sensitive areas to guard against posting or forwarding of objectionable posts by their members. The Maharashtra Police on their official Twitter and Facebook accounts have issued appeals for peace on the day of verdict. In Mumbai, the police have issued prohibitory orders against gathering of five or more persons till November 18.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis says the Supreme Court's Ayodhya verdict should be respected by everyone and has appealed to all sections of society to maintain calm and peace.

Bengal Governor Urges People To Maintain Harmony
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony irrespective of the judgement of the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case in Ayodhya.
Mr Dhankhar says judgement of the Supreme Court is final on any issue and it is required to be followed by everybody.
"I appeal to the people to accept the judgement wholeheartedly. This is the requirement of the rule of law. It is everyone's responsibility to ensure that communal harmony is maintained irrespective of the judgement," he says.
All communities must present an example of harmony and brotherhood, the governor adds.
