Ramya Krishnan and Prabhas in Baahubali: The Conclusion.
New Delhi:
S S Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion has collected Rs 500 crore, in little over a month, reports trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film's Hindi version is the first in Bollywood to have crossed the Rs 500-crore mark and according to Taran Adarsh the film is 'unstoppable.' "Baahubali 2, Rs 500 crore, not out. Continues its heroic run. Highest grosser ever," tweeted Taran Adarsh. He also a gave a film and collection-wise break-up of the box office. Baahubali: The Conclusion closes the epic saga Rajamouli stated in 2015 with Baahubali: The Beginning. Here's are the details of Baahubali 2's (Hindi version) India business so far:
Internationally, Baahubali: The Conclusion's success rate is only matched by Aamir Khan's Dangal. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film was dormant at the box office for months before it released in China last month and set the cash registers ringing at maniacal speed. Dangal has crossed Rs 1,000-crore mark in China. Baahubali: The Conclusion, which will release in china soon, is rolling in over Rs 1,600 crore too.
Baahubali: The Conclusion is set in fictional Mahishmathi resurrected through VFX by Rajamouli and his team. Baahubali series follows the story of the mighty kingdom's two princes - Amarendra Baahubali and his cousin Bhalladeva. After Bhalladeva successfully gets Baahubali assassinated all hell breaks loose. Two decades later Baahubali's son, Mahendra, returns to avenge his father and reclaim the throne of Mahishmathi.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Baahubali: The Conclusion released on April 28.
