Babri case: Court dismisses CBI plea

Lucknow: A Lucknow court has dismissed the CBI's plea challenging an earlier court order in the Babri Masjid demolition case that had dropped the charges against BJP leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vinay Katiyar and Uma Bharti.

These leaders now cannot be charged with the actual conspiracy to demolish the mosque. However, the case against them for making provocative speeches and inciting kar sevaks is still pending.
