Lucknow:
The family of Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan has purchased agricultural land at Muzzafarpur village in Kakori of Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh, official sources said.
The land had been purchased by their representative on the basis of power of attorney given by the Bachchan family, they said.
According to the district administration officials, in the last few months, the Bachchan family had purchased the land through their representative Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav.
When contacted, SDM Mahendra Singh said his office had received sale deeds for mutation on behalf of the Bachchan family.
"It a routine process and we have received the sale deeds for the transfer the land in favour of Bachchans. Before making the changes, physical verification is being done," Singh said.
The Bachchan family could not be contacted for comments despite efforts.
