New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to hand over the probe into the Amar Singh case to the Economic Offences Wing of the state police.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan - a part of the case, has also been targeted by the Mayawati government. Speaking exclusively to NDTV, Amitabh Bachchan has rubbished the case, saying that he will not be silent observer to scurrilous charge. He added that this could be political vendetta against Amar Singh and that he would stand by his friend.
Amar Singh has been accused of misusing his position during MulayamSingh's government regime to siphon off nearly Rs 500 crore by mergingseveral companies into six companies owned by him and also artificiallyraising the shares of these companies.
