Lucknow:
The Bahujan Samaj Party's national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Das on Monday resigned from the party.
In his resignation letter, sent to Bahujan Samaj Party or BSP president Mayawati, Mr Das said he is resigning from the primary membership of the party and all its post with immediate effect, a release issued by the spokesman of Mr Das, Sushil Dube, said.
The Rajya Sabha term of Mr Das is coming to an end this month.
