Bangalore: After constant prodding by his family, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa finally discarded his trademark all-white safari for a sharp Italian-cut suit at the two-day Global Investors Meet (GIM) that began on Thursday, and asked his ministers to do likewise.

The CM, who is not known to appear in anything other than his beloved white safaris, finally got two Indian, a bandhgala and a Nehru suit and as many western suits stitched because his old ones do not fit him anymore.

The suits that Lamba has created for the CM are fashioned from lightweight wool. They are in dark colours as well as shades of cream that suit his skin tone

"He has an all new look, and importantly, he is as comfortable as he is used to being," said r BY Umadevi, Yeddyurappa's daughter.

"He needed this look. I worked with my brother BY Vijayendra to get him these suits and we were extremely happy to see how he turned out."
