New Delhi: Two Nobel peace laureates are expected to meet at Delhi's Siri Fort Auditorium today: Kailash Satyarthi and US President Barack Obama. President Obama, who is concluding his three-day visit to India today, will be at the venue to address a select gathering.

The US President, who had received the Nobel peace prize in 2009, first met Mr Satyarthi on Sunday during the banquet at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Today, he is expected to meet Mr Satyarthi backstage after the event for a brief interaction, sources said. He is also expected to meet three children rescued by Mr Satyarthi's organisation, the Bachpan Bachao Andolan.
Deepak, 8, was a former child laborer and Ayub Khan 12, had been trafficked to work at a factory manufacturing buttons. Payal, 14, had refused to get married and now, as a bal sarpanch - the elected leader of children's council - works to eliminate child marriage in her village.

Mr Satyarthi, who shared the Nobel prize in December with Pakistan's Malala Yousufzai, has dedicated his award to the nation. The medal has been put on display at the museum in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The non-profit Bachpan Bachao Andolan prides itself on rescuing more than 83,000 children from bonded labour and slavery since its inception in 1980.
