It is said to be a part of Sonia Gandhi's 'Kamraj' plan. The reports of four top ministers writing letters to the Congress president asking to be allowed to resign and do more party work raise very serious questions: Is it part of a larger gameplan? And will this mean a larger role for Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi? We debate.

BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy to NDTV: Why these ministers? That question needs to be addressed. Do these ministers think organisationally the party is not doing well? Is the government dysfuntional? Are they not happy with the way the government is functioning? That might be their reason for not wanting to continue.
Vyalar Ravi to NDTV: I have not met or written to Sonia Gandhi. I am very happy doing my work and will continue. I have been sent to different states at different times. This time I was asked to look into Andhra Pradesh for the by polls and I went there for a few days.
Vyalar Ravi denies writing to the Congress President. "I have not written any letter to Sonia Gandhi. I will do what the party wants me to do," says Mr Ravi.
"You have given me this information, I cannot respond to information given by correspondents," says Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal.
Jairam Ramesh is already at 10 Janpath meeting Mrs Gandhi.
BJP's Ravi Shankar Prasad to NDTV: There are still two years for a new government to take over in 2014. This window-dressing is of no consequence. If this thing comes about, I only see the problem (of lack of governance) aggravated.
Law minister Salman Khurshid is learnt to have written to Mrs Sonia Gandhi offering to step down post the Congress' Uttar Pradesh electoral debacle. Mr Khurshid is expected to meet Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence shortly.

Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Overseas Affairs Minister Vylar Ravi have denied writing such letters.
Party sources said that the ministers who have reportedly written to Mrs Gandhi making such an offer are Salman Khurshid, Vyalar Ravi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Jairam Ramesh.
