It's going to be a Friday release of a different kind for the superstar in Chennai. Ahead of his next big film - Robot or Endhiran - comes his day as Father of the Bride. Rajinikanth's daughter, Soundarya, is getting married tomorrow.
The event will take place at the popular Rani Meiyymai Hall at Egmore. The VVIP list of attendees will reportedly include Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and his family; Aishwarya Rai, who costars with Rajinikanth in his new film, Robot or EndhIran; and directors Shankar and K Balachandar.
Soundarya is marrying 27-year-old Stanford graduate, Ashwin Ramkumar, who now owns a construction business.
Soundarya is the CEO of Ochre Productions. Her debut venture - an animated film titled 'Sultan The Warrior' -stars her famous father and will release later this year.
Her engagement earlier this year was attended by Kamal Hasan, Surya with wife Jyothika, and the Chief Minister. And at the recent Mehendi ceremony, Rajinikanth is said to have joined in to sing popular Tamil songs.
