The channel on which Bigg Boss airs has taken the government to court and has won a reprieve - the show will not have to move to 11 pm for now.
Viacom 18, which owns Colors, challenged the government's decision, announced yesterday, to restrict the airing of "adult shows" like Bigg boss and Raakhi Ka Insaaf (which airs on Imagine) between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said it had received many complaints from viewers about abusive and vulgar language. (Forum:Is Govt right to move 'adult' shows to later time?)

Last night, Colors did not delay the airing of Bigg Boss which has US celebrity Pamela Anderson participating on the show for three days.
Colors moved the Bombay High Court this morning. It said, "No date has been mentioned as to when the show was against good taste and decency." The channel also said that its content cannot be described as obscene.
"The show has been on for one and a half months, what is the urgency suddenly?" asked Colors in court.
The channel accepted that while the government has the power to force a schedule change, "in this case our advertisement commitment and content has to change."
