Bihar Assembly adjourned after BJP, RJD protest over Chhapra mid-day meal deaths
Patna: The Bihar Assembly was adjourned till 12 noon today after the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party or BJP and the Rashtriya Janata Dal or RJD members protesting in its premises over the mid-day meal deaths in Chhapra earlier this month.

On Friday too, when the week-long session of the Assembly began, the opposition members had created a ruckus over the death of 23 children not finding any mention in the obituary reference by Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary.

This is the first assembly session after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar snapped his 17-year-old alliance with the BJP last month over a larger role to his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi. BJP is now the main opposition party in the House.

The Chhapra tragedy and the Bodh Gaya serial blasts are expected to dominate the session.
