Patna, Bihar:
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated the Patliputra University in Patna and launched its logo, anthem and website.
"This university will be developed as an innovative one, different from others," Nitish Kumar said.
He said the new university was named as Patliputra because it was the capital of ancient Magadh.
Patliputra University has 100 colleges, including affiliated ones, which were earlier part of Magadh University.
The university is likely to launch its first academic session for undergraduate courses from the second week of August.
