Patna:
The son of a lawmaker of Bihar's ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal allegedly thrashed a doctor at a government hospital in Gaya last night.
Ranjit Yadav, who is an accused in the murder of a rival politician, allegedly barged into the hospital along with eight others and beat up the doctor.
"He (Ranjeet) hit me with a wheel chair, looked like he came with intention to kill, he is a hoodlum," said Dr Satyendra Kumar.
The police say they are investigating what happened, but have made no arrest yet.
"The doctor was beaten up by the MLA's son who was accompanied by eight others. We are taking his statement, an investigation is on," said Amit Kumar, a police officer.
Ranjit Yadav is the son of RJD legislator Kunti Devi. His father, Rajendra Yadav is in jail in a case of murder and kidnapping.
