Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the Kishanganj Agriculture College will be named after former president APJ Abdul Kalam.
"The government has decided to rename the college as APJ Abdul Kalam Agriculture College," Nitish Kumar told the media.
Nitish Kumar said Dr Kalam was always concerned about Bihar's development, especially the rural areas. "Bihar was close to Kalam's heart."
Before leaving for Delhi to pay respect to Dr Kalam, who passed away yesterday evening in Shillong, Nitish Kumar said Bihar and its people had high regards for him.
Most Bihar schools were closed today as a mark of respect to Dr Kalam, an official said.
