BJP delegation met the Delhi state Election Commissioner demanding removal of hoardings.
New Delhi:
A BJP delegation on Friday met the Delhi state Election Commissioner demanding removal of hoardings of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP ministers, especially from the 13 municipal wards going to by-polls on May 15 in New Delhi.
A delegation led by Delhi BJP's senior leader Shyam Lal Garg met Delhi State Election Commissioner Rakesh Mehta and submitted a complaint demanding removal of AAP hoardings and posters citing them as a "violation" of model code of conduct for the election.
"The hoardings and posters are open violation of model code of conduct and should be immediately removed," Mr Garg said.
The delegation also demanded special security measures for smooth and peaceful voting in "sensitive" polling booths like Ballimaran, Nawada, Matiala, Vikas Nagar, Tehkhand and Bhati areas.
