Condoling the death of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, BJP on Wednesday said India has lost a legendary figure in the field of art and culture.
"On behalf of the BJP, we deeply mourn the sad demise of Pandit Ravi Shankar, a legendary figure in the field of art and culture in India. He was a proud Indian who made India proud globally," party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
"As far as India's creativity and music tradition is concerned, he will always inspire the coming generation," he added.
