New Delhi:
The BJP will hold a core group meet today in Delhi to decide the points for talks between US President Barack Obama and senior party leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj on Monday.
The BJP got off to a false start, with it's spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy slamming the US President for not mentioning Pakistan in his speech at the Taj Hotel.
"It was the first address by the US President at a place (Taj Hotel) which saw the biggest terror attack on India. It was a complete disappointment as the world and the United
States had proof that the attack was planned on Pakistani soil by its intelligence agencies. He had words which were not backed with action and intent," BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters. He said that by skirting a direct reference to Pakistan, Obama "missed" an opportunity to strike a chord with Indians.
Later, the party toned down it's criticism. The party will recalibrate it's stand on the issue today.
