BJP on Wednesday said Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit should be sacked for "lying" on the issue of alleged diversion of SC/ST funds to Commonwealth Games-related projects and a case should be registered against her.
"All we are saying is that Dikshit is lying. She has committed a criminal offence. She has misled the masses under oath. She should be jailed if the allegations are found true," Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta told reporters.
"The Chief Minister should be immediately dismissed and criminal case filed against her," he said.
Gupta's comments came after Dikshit denied that SC/ST funds were diverted for Games-related projects though government documents showed that some money was indeed diverted.
