New Delhi:

Senior BJP leader L K Advani emphasised on Hindutva and strong relations with RSS during his speech at the second day of the BJP national executive meeting in New Delhi on Sunday.

"This is not a defeat; we need to go back to the people," he said. Advani also added that party workers hurt by internal bickering.

There were also reports of Shahnawaz Hussain, Maneka Gandhi and Mukhthar Abbas Naqvi clashing on the Varun Gandhi hate speech issue during the meeting.

Addressing a press meet at the party headquarters after the meeting, BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu accepted that the election results were not up to expectation for the party and said that India is moving towards bi-polar polity.

"We have to accept that we have been defeated. But the party also knows that we have the capacity and the calibre to come back," he said adding that the party workers are concerned over war of words by leaders in the media.

Naidu also rubbished the fact that the party has lost because of any single person.
