Dehradun: Alleging "unprecedented rise in corruption" under the Harish Rawat dispensation, Opposition BJP today began a state-wide yatra "to unmask Congress and its corruption in several cases".
Flagging off the "pardafash yatra" from the party office, State BJP president Mr Ajay Bhatt said the effort was "to acquaint people" with the corruption cases against the government.
"People are fed up with thriving corruption under Harish Rawat and want to get rid of his government. We are taking all the issues to each individual of the state through this yatra," said Mr Bhatt.
Criticising Harish Rawat for sticking to his chair despite "evidences of corruption against him and Congress in public domain", Mr Bhatt demanded the chief minister's resignation.
Senior party leaders including Mr Naresh Bansal, Mr Khajandas and former MLA Mr Subodh Uniyal also attended the yatra.
