He is addressing the media at the Press Club of India in New Delhi. Below are the highlights of his speech:
  • Kirti Azad claims he will expose the biggest corruption in Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
  • We are going to make an audio video presentation that WikiLeaks4India has produced: Kirti Azad.
  • There are 5 parts in the 28-minute video. The biggest, best chunks are towards the end.
  • Let me start out by saying I'm a big fan of the PM and his campaign against corruption. The steps that he has taken against corruption should be lauded.
  • Our fight isn't personal. We are not fighting against any individual. It is against corruption.
  • I just want to expose corruption; the accounts of it will be explained later. I repeat, this is not a personal fight or against one person. It is against corruption.
  • Video alleges the DDCA had hired a laptop and a printer for Rs 16,000 and Rs 3,000 per day respectively.
  • Video alleges the DDCA gave contracts to companies with fake addresses.
  • Video alleges the DDCA paid companies in cash against norms. It also alleges they have traced 14 fake companies.
  • The prices of tenders were inflated by the DDCA, alleges Kirti Azad.
  • DDCA gave money to a lot of companies and nature of work was never told.
  • I would request the ED to step in. It should investigate under prevention of money laundering act and prevention of corruption act.
  • Contracts worth crores were given without verification. No executive meetings were held before passing bills.
  • Payments made to bogus companies. The conflict of interest is evident.
  • Need to root out large scale corruption in the DDCA.
