New Delhi: BJP leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is undergoing treatment for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), is making steady recovery, doctors at a city hospital said today.
"He is being treated by our team of experts and is making steady recovery," said a statement issued by Indraprastha Apollo Hospital authorities.
They said no surgery or intervention is being planned for now and that Sidhu is medically stable.
51-year-old Mr Sidhu was admitted to the hospital with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a life threatening condition if not treated in time.
DVT is caused by a blood clot in a deep vein which hinders the normal blood flow. The symptoms may include swelling, pain, and tenderness, often in the legs.
Mr Sidhu has been a two-time former MP from Amritsar constituency in Punjab.
