BJP National Council Meets Today to Confirm Amit Shah as Party Chief

New Delhi: The BJP's National Council is meeting in Delhi today to ratify the appointment of Amit Shah as the party President. (Amit Shah Asks BJP Lawmakers to Remain Connected with Voters)

This is the first meeting of the national council since the BJP's victory in the Lok Sabha polls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the meeting.

Mr Shah had taken over as BJP chief on July 9 after Rajnath Singh resigned from the post, soon after he joined the Narendra Modi cabinet. (A New Team for Amit Shah)
