Satna:
Senior BJP leader LK Advani says the president of his party in Madhya Pradesh will investigate whether journalists were offered bribes in exchange for coverage in the state's Satna district.
After a press conference held yesterday by Member of Parliament Ganesh Singh and minister Nagendra Singh, envelopes were handed out. Journalists assumed these contained documents related to the briefing; instead, Rs 500 notes were found.
The press conference had been called to discuss the yatra which passed through Satna this morning.
State BJP president Prabhat Jha has suspended media in-charge of Satna, Shyam Gupta, with immediate effect in relation to the alleged cash distribution.
