New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the CBI raided his office today. However, the CBI and the government maintain that the raids conducted at Delhi Secretariat were against Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar.

Here are the highlights of what the BJP said during a press conference on the controversy:

  • Arvind Kejriwal must apologise for calling PM coward
  • Endeavour Systems was helped in a planned manner in getting contracts in Delhi
  • Wherever Rajender Kumar was posted, this company got many contracts
  • CBI filed an FIR against him a few months back
  • 14 places were raided in this connection, searches are still on
  • Only two places - his home and his office - are in secretariat
  • The office of AK's PS has been raided
  • CBI has raided after proper search warrant by a competent court
  • We condemn him calling him a kaayar
  • The use of the expression coward for our popular PM is totally uncalled for unwarranted shameful and I condemn it outright
  • I expect that he being tender an apology for completely baseless allegations against PM of India
  • Which law says that permission of the chief minister is needed if the agency has got search warrants against his secretary
  • Even for lawmakers, you only need to inform the Speaker
  • I want to ask Arvind Kejriwal, some days back newspaper reports said Sanjay Pratap Singh, a Delhi officer, was accused of accepting bribe
  • When the CBI acted against him, the AAP government said it was happening because of them
  • Today when it is happening against their secretary, then they say it is being misused
  • "Jai jai" on one action and "Hai Hai" on another action
  • It is a case of hypocrisy and double standards
  • We do due diligence when we appoint secretaries, didn't you do the same when you appointed him
  • Mr Kejriwal, you are the epitome of virtue in fight against corruption
  • Should we presume you did not undertake due diligence when you appointed Rajender Kumar
  • This is abuse of authority for undue enrichment
