In a bid to increase its organizational strength in West Bengal, BJP is planning to "nurture" 50,000 party workers as a first step to strengthen its local-level leadership.
"This time we got around 56 lakh votes across Bengal. We will be increasing our strength in the days to come. We will be organizing party classes from mandal (local) level to top-level of the party in the districts. We aim to nurture 50,000 dedicated party cadre (whole timers) across the state as the first level of organizational exercise," BJP state unit president Dilip Ghosh said.

A video of party's national president Amit Shah was also played during the meeting in which he highlighted the need of strengthening the party's organization and how it has come up a long way nationally from just two seats to gaining majority in the Lok Sabha on its own.
Mr Ghosh accused TMC of unleashing a "reign of terror" in districts as a part of post-poll violence across the state. "Our workers are being beaten up in various parts of the districts. The post poll violence should be immediately stopped," he added.
