Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said all those involved in the Saradha scam should be punished as public money was looted, even as he expressed confidence over BJP doing well in the coming by-polls and next Assembly elections in West Bengal.
"In the Saradha scam, public money has been looted. All those involved in the scam must be punished," the senior BJP leader said at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport on his way to a campaign meeting for the coming by-election for Bongaon Lok Sabha seat.
Asserting that BJP, which presently has a lone member in the state Assembly, would do very well in the coming Assembly polls in the state, he said "I am confident that the BJP will win a majority in the next elections in West Bengal."
"We will also do very well in the by-elections for the Bongaon LS seat and Krishnaganj Assembly seat," he added.
