BJP Will Soon End Practice Of Triple Talaq: BJP UP Chief Keshav Maurya

BJP Will Soon End Practice Of Triple Talaq: BJP UP Chief Keshav Maurya
UP BJP chief Keshav Maurya said the party will try and end the triple talaq practice soon.
Ghaziabad: Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya on Tuesday asserted the party will try and end the practice of triple talaq soon.

"The practice of triple talaq can turn a Muslim woman's life into hell in an instance. The BJP will try and end the practice soon," he said at press conference.

Mr Maurya made a brief stop at Ghaziabad on his way to review preparations for 'Parivartan Rally' in Saharanpur. Attacking Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi over his recent 'Kisan Yatra' in the poll-bound state, he alleged, "His yatra was a drama to mislead farmers."

"Rahul talks about waving loans of farmers, then why this has not been done in Congress-ruled states," he asked, adding the BJP does not need to give proof of works for development.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's plans for a theme park in Ayodhya, he said, "They should first improve conditions at Mathura and Kashi."

"Once the Supreme Court gives its verdict on Ram Janam Bhoomi, the BJP will build a Ram Mandir there," he said.

Giving details on the BJP's 'Parivartan Rally', he said, "The first rally from Saharanpur will start on November 5, followed by rallies from Jhansi on November 6, Sonbhadra on November 8 and Balia on November 9."

The rallies will end on former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday on December 25, he said
