BJP workers lathicharged in Lucknow

Lucknow: BJP workers were lathicharged outside the party office in Lucknow while protesting against the Mayawati government.

Water cannons were used and workers also pelted stones at the policemen.

They were being led by the state BJP President Surya Pratap Shahi.

The protestors were going towards the chief minister's residence when they were stopped by the police.
