BJP works to diffuse Raje crisis
NDTV Correspondent:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working to diffuse the former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje crisis. Sources have told NDTV that the party may try for an honourable exit for Vasundhara.

Raje is slated to meet party leader Venkaiah Naidu, appointed as the pointsman to defuse the crisis sparked after BJP President Rajnath Singh asked her resign as Leader of Opposition following the party's defeat in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, in the capital on Monday at noon.

Summoned by BJP central leadership, Raje on Sunday left for New Delhi along with some of her supporters for the crucial talks.

The party's central leadership had on April 28 summoned her to the capital to meet Naidu after which Raje had affirmed her loyalty to the BJP saying she was a "disciplined soldier" of the party and its order was "supreme" to her.

The former chief minister, who claims the support of 70 of the 78 legislators, had said she would like to go for talks as quickly as possible to sort out the problems.
