New Delhi:
Miffed over the Aam Aadmi Party 'projecting' him as BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Delhi on its posters, senior party leader Jagdish Mukhi today served AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal with a legal notice for 'misusing' his photo.
The posters of AAP can be spotted on auto-rickshaws in which the party is seen 'projecting' Mr Mukhi as BJP's chief ministerial candidate against Mr Kejriwal.
"I have sent a legal notice to Kejriwal for misusing my photo without my permission. How can he project me as BJP's CM candidate despite the fact my party is yet to announce the same?" Mr Mukhi said.
Mr Mukhi's legal notice also sought Mr Kejriwal's answer on the matter within a stipulated amount of time and in the event of Mr Kejriwal failing to answer, Mr Mukhi has said that he will drag him to court over this "serious issue".
"They (AAP) have placed my photo with Arvind Kejriwal on different auto-rickshaws without my permission. BJP has not so far declared its chief ministerial candidate for the forthcoming Assembly elections, but Kejriwal is busy with spreading wrong message among the masses," the senior BJP leader added.
Earlier this month, Delhi BJP had asked Mr Mukhi to take legal action against the Aam Aadmi Party over the issue.
"We have asked him to take cognisance of the matter because AAP is wrongly using his photo. He (Mukhi) should take legal action against the AAP," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay had said.
