Guwahati:
One person has died and at least 18 people were injured in a bomb blast at a weekly market near Misamari army cantonment in Assam's Sonitpur district on Thursday, police said.
Out of the injured, 12 people have received minor injuries, while six are seriously injured.
The explosion took place in the crowded Gorubandha weekly market, they said, adding senior police officials have rushed to the spot.
According to preliminary reports, the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) is believed to be behind these attacks.
