Goalpara, Assam: A crude bomb was recovered from National Highway 37 in Assam's trouble-torn Goalpara district on Sunday, police said.
The powerful bomb, kept inside a plastic packet, was spotted at a place near New Dudhnoi area by the locals who informed the police.
The Army's bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and the bomb was defused at a safe place. Earlier, on November 8 four bombs were recovered from railway tracks between Dudhnoi and Krishnai in the same district.
