Ahmedabad:
Border Security Force (BSF) is planning to introduce tele-medicine facilities for its personnel serving at far flung areas so that they can take medical advice from doctors.
"Tele-medicine facility is being introduced so that BSF personnel deployed at far flung areas can take medical advice from expertised medical officers," BSF's Director General D K Pathak was quoted as saying in an official statement issued in Ahmedabad.
"Residential quarters for BSF personnel will be constructed so that their wards get better education," the statement said.
Mr Pathak visited Gujarat from June 16 to June 17 and commissioned a fast attack craft (water vessel) for the creek area in Kutch yesterday.
Mr Pathak also inaugurated the commissioning of a domestic cooking gas network in BSF campus as a welfare measure for personnel and their families, the statement said.
