A boy was injured in an IED blast near a BSF camp in Manipur's Imphal East district today.
A police officer said the blast took place around 9 am, injuring the boy who was playing nearby at Moirang Purel village.
The boy has been rushed to a hospital in Imphal, the officer said.
BSF and armed state police cordoned off the area.
On May 20 last, a Border Security Force (BSF) convoy on foot patrol was ambushed by militants armed with rocket launchers and sophisticated automatic weapons in Thoubal district of Manipur but there was no casualty.
