Mr Martin was stuck under the debris for two hours.
Maihar:
A social worker in Madhya Pradesh died while trying to save a girl who was trapped under the debris of a building that had collapsed in Maihar.
According to reports, Bablu Martin rushed to the site to help in the rescue operations. He rescued a 12-year-old girl and also a boy, but got trapped under a concrete beam.
Mr Martin was stuck under the debris for two hours. He was later taken to a local hospital from where he was referred to a hospital in Katni. He died on the way.

Mr Martin was a sportsperson and ran a club which trained underprivileged children in sports for free.
An official said there may be a possibility that the building could not have withstand the water that had inundated around it due to persistent downpour for the past two-three days.
