Buta Singh, Chairman of the National Commission for Schedule Caste, has approached the Delhi High Court challenging CBI's notice to appear before it as a witness in connection with a case of alleged bribery against his son.
Singh, whose petition is likely to come for hearing on Wednesday, has sought quashing of the notice served on him by CBI for appearing before it as a witness in connection with the case of alleged bribery registered against his son Sarobjit Singh.
Buta Singh contended in his petition that he is holding the post of a cabinet minister rank and the investigating agency cannot question or interrogate him without taking sanction from the government.
