Attari, Punjab:
On the occasion of India's 63rd Republic Day, the Border Security Force today gifted traditional Indian sweets to their Pakistani counterparts at Attari-Wagah international border.
BSF DIG Sanjeev Bhanot and Commandant BSF Sumedh Singh shook hands with Lieutenant Colonel Suheil, who is the wing Commander of Pakistan Rangers (the Pakistani border guarding force), a BSF official said.
The sweets were prepared with 'desi ghee' and traditional fruits, set in nine different packets and wrapped in beautiful packing, the official said, adding that there was no tension and both sides looked relaxed.
All senior officers of Pakistan Rangers posted on Wagah border were present at the Joint Check Post during the ceremony, the official said.
