Bahujan Samaj Party MP Dhananjay Singh, accused of destroying evidence to shield his wife in a domestic help murder case, has moved a court seeking interim bail for attending the ongoing winter session of Parliament.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmesh Sharma on Friday listed the matter to be heard by Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash on December 10.
The session, which began on Thursday, is scheduled to conclude on December 20.
Dhananjay Singh, who represents the Jaunpur Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested and booked for destroying evidence and violating provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.
His wife Jagriti was booked for murder, attempt to murder and for violating the Juvenile Justice Act after the domestic help died of injuries suffered as a result of alleged torture.
