BSP Says It Is Open To Alliance With Congress For Punjab Assembly Polls
BSP general secretary Narendra Kashyap said party chief Mayawati will hold a rally in Punjab's Nawanshahr.
Jalandhar: Bahujan Samaj Party today said it is open to an alliance with Congress for the upcoming Assembly elections in Punjab.

"We have started our preparation to contest all 117 Assembly seats, following BSP supremo's order. However, if we get a proposal from Congress, we would take it up for discussion with party chief and decide accordingly," BSP general secretary Narendra Kashyap said in Jalandhar today.

Mr Kashyap said the proposal should be "respectable".

The Rajya Sabha lawmaker also said on March 15, the birth anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, party chief Mayawati will hold a rally in Punjab's Nawanshahr.
