Hyderabad: The central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will meet in Hyderabad on Friday to discuss the party's poll debacle that resulted in the end of the uninterrupted 34-year rule of the Left Front in West Bengal.
According to sources, former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee will not be attending the three-day Politburo meet. The reason as to why he would skip the meet has not been ascertained yet.
CPM state secretary and politburo member Biman Bose will submit the finalised review report at the meeting, the sources said.
The party had earlier met on June 4 in Kolkata for a two-day session to discuss the factors responsible for the drubbing in the Assembly elections, post-poll violence etc. Buddhadeb was present at that meeting. (With PTI Inputs)
